This is our first grant supporting the next generation of fashion designers, in particular encouraging those with a focus on sustainable fashion.

Alice Rhynehart (Aer.Mo.Da) will start her third year studying fashion at Hull School of Art and Design. She is embarking on a sustainable fashion project that celebrates Hull’s rich tailoring heritage. She intends to explore the city’s authentic pattern cutting techniques using unwanted and damaged clothing. The end goal is collection of pieces that will not only celebrate sustainability and well-made clothing, but also provide an insight into what can be created when you combine unwanted clothing with Hull's history of high-end tailoring.
